Walnut hair dye recipe

Walnut - a record for its usefulness. For the care of hair and scalp can use its core, shell and even leaves.

Shells and walnut leaves are used to color the hair in brown or chestnut color. There are several recipes:

1. Finely ground shells of green immature walnuts are bred in water to the state of gruel and uniformly applied to the hair for 15-20 minutes.

2. The shell of green walnuts is finely ground in a blender and filtered through cheesecloth. 2 tablespoons the resulting juice is mixed with 100 ml of alcohol and placed in a warm place for 2-3 hours. The resulting infusion splendidly colors the gray hair.

3. For 3 liters of water, take 20-25 grams of leaves or chopped shells of green walnuts. Cooked on low heat until one-third of the liquid is boiled. To get more intense shades of chestnut color in the broth, you need to add more leaves and shells.

However, the juice obtained from the walnut shell should be used with caution when staining the hair and apply only in a small concentration, as it is sufficiently toxic and is used even to remove unwanted hair (for example, in the region of the axillae). Therefore, in order not to damage the hair, it is preferable to use walnut leaves instead of the shell for its coloring.

Decoction of walnut leaves perfectly nourishes and strengthens the hair. For its preparation, it is necessary to take 5 tablespoons per 0.5 liters of water. finely chopped leaves. Cook on low heat for half an hour, then strain the broth through gauze and apply it to clean damp hair. Cover the head with a cellophane bag and warm it with a towel. After 20 minutes rinse hair with warm water without shampoo.
