Dangerous hair diseases

Disease of the hair called "trichlora nodosum" is associated with hair trauma. For the most part, it occurs as a reaction to mechanical damage to the hair during rough combing, rubbing, massaging, frequent washing, as well as the use of highly effective chemical dyes, prolonged exposure to sunlight, and the like; there is evidence of a hereditary predisposition to this disease. Trichoclasia is characterized by cleavage of hair rods and the formation of nodules in these areas. In the treatment, the affected hair is sheared.

Long-term use of multivitamin preparations, vitamin A, oil masks and wraps for hair is shown. Prevention includes rational care, washing the head with SLS and SLeS-free gentle products,  organic shampoos, excluding those that are able to degrease hair.

Mycosis - diseases of the hair due to their defeat by pathogenic fungi. Species of mycoses: trichophytosis, favus (scab), microsporia. They affect both the hair and the scalp. Transmitted when using someone else's comb, towel, headgear.

Trichophytosis is characterized by scaly patches of pink-red color on the skin; hair, affected by a fungus, become brittle, break off.

Microsporia, has similar signs with trichophytosis, and previously both diseases were called "ringworm." For the most part, this disease is characteristic of childhood. Children are infected with microspores from animals, as well as through combs, headgear.

Favus, or scab, is manifested by the formation on the scalp of dry crusts of yellow color with the smell of mold. The skin under the crust is thinned, and the hair falls out. On these foci of alopecia hair no longer grows. The remaining hair becomes dull, dry, and lose elasticity. It is clear that untreated scab threatens baldness of the whole head.

Spindle-shaped intermittent hair atrophy. The disease is a congenital chronic pathology. Its signs are spindle-shaped swellings and constrictions along the entire length of the hair. This anomaly is inherent not only in the scalp on the head, but also in the eyebrows.

The cause of atrophy is the horny plugs, which are formed in the expanded estuaries of the follicles. Treatment involves the course of taking vitamin A preparations, the use of epilin patch, rubbing of body spasms, psoriazine.
